We are partners in this journey together

Just as every person is different, so is every therapeutic relationship.          What is universal is my commitment to you.

My Practice philosophy

Life is a challenging journey. From the time we are born, we have expectations of ourselves and others. These are developed from our experiences that give us a sense of self. Along our path, we continually run into difficulties which help shape us into who we are. If these difficulties interfere with our well-being beyond our own coping skills, that is a time we seek out psychotherapy.

My approach to psychotherapy is providing a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting environment where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. I believe each of us is striving to develop our own unique sense of self. We can do this together by identifying beliefs and behaviors that do not serve you, and cultivating the ones that do. This becomes a partnership. I am committed to helping you out of the darkness to find the light again. My training offers a wide variety of ways to achieve this task.

Together we will follow closely your needs, desires and emotions that ground you and help you define your sense of self. We will pay close attention to dreams because some of our most important thinking about internal concerns occurs at night. While reinforcing attitudes that enrich your sense of self,  we will identify those attitudes that keep you feeling stuck to explore and gradually understand how they originated from past and current experiences. This in-depth understanding will enable you to gain freedom from problematic attitudes by increasing your sense of personal power. Through our emotional interaction, we will make it possible for you to create stimulating relational experiences, enabling a more productive and satisfying life.
